Female penpal? Real letters and art swaps for mental health?

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in being my real life pen pal?

As in not email or what's app. But letters. I am very creative and am looking for ways to improve my mental health. I'd love to find a friend I can write to who also understands the challenge of health anxiety but has similar interests to me so we can also maybe do art swaps?

For info:
I am 35 yo female. I would only like to penpal with other females please.

I am married and have two kids under 10.

I suffer from health anxiety and generalised anxiety. There is also a question of being nuerodivergent though I am not diagnosed yet.


I love: anything creative. I have a million creative hobbies and I am also a published children's book illustrator. I'd love to find someone to swap zines and little drawings or crafts with.

I love horror movies and anything scary. I love to read.

I'm also very outdoorsy and like to walk and hike and camp and look for mushrooms and birds and other probably potentially geeky things like that.

I home educate my children so I spend a lot of time with them outdoors exploring too.

I'm very sarcastic and I have a dreadful and dark sense of humour that probably offends people when I don't mean it to.

Anyway I guess that's enough info for now.....

Also for safety I would either discuss sending letters to a po. Type box or use some kind of system to verify ID before giving out a postal address so we both know we are talking to a real person snd not a strange Internet murderer

I'm a crafter and would love to do some swaps if you're interested? I mostly do off-loom beadweaving on a semi-professional basis, but I do dabble in other things.

That would be so awesome. Your craft sounds interesting that's probably one of the few I haven't tried...I have no patience!

I'm not really sure the best way to go about it. Now I have had a response I've lost all self confidence 😆

I can't do video calls. I'm horrendously especially awkward and anxious and don't talk on phone or zoom except to my therapist because she can't judge me 😆
