Tachycardia after lack of sleep and forgetting to take my meds.

Every time I end up getting a lack of sleep I will have tachycardia. My heart rate right now is 120bpm and I'm just sitting down. Trying hard to not let it turn into panic. Maybe I'm already in a state of panic and I don't even realize it.

This sucks I feel like the older I get the more I'm falling apart.

What about the 13 mile walk and rock climbing this week?

I'm always hyper adrenal if I have a bad night of sleep, or even worse no sleep.

But, as Pulisa mentions, are you just overdoing things right now?

I found out the hard way that you can be a kind of high functioning anxiety sufferer and ignore the warning signs. Even though you can go out and do stuff now, you might still need to practice relaxation and calming techniques for years before your CNS returns to any kind of baseline. That's assuming you have no further external stressors, which is.....unlikely?

Surely you can set yourself a reminder on your phone to take your meds? If you can't rely on yourself to remember?

    Hey folks.

I was ok yesterday and before, it's just today. I think it's the lack of sleep. I slept at 8am and woke at 1pm. I had insomnia.

Yeah I'm going to set a reminder now so I take them at the same time every day. I've only recently got a smartphone (for Christmas).

I'm still on my meds Joe. I'm off the bad stuff.

I can feel my anxiety is peaking because I'm constantly pulse checking and that's not helping things.

I have recently learned how lack of sleep can be devastating for heart palps. I have been running on probably 4 hours sleep total in 24 hours for the last 3 months and now the piper is returning the tune. I have had never had anything so bad for the last 30 years. My anxiety has sky rocketed as GP has suggested angina, even though I have no obvious signs of such - one blip on an EKG, no pain, no blackouts. The Claire Weeks book has helped although I am so frightful I cannot really assimilate it at the moment. I do have sleep apnoea to boot - I am wondering if you have been checked for any sleep issues? Also as others have said, set a reminder to take meds - but don't panic if you miss a day, just remember to take them the next day. Wishing you peace of mind.
