Aspiration pneumonia from choking on water???

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been having problems with swallowing due to GERD/anxiety. Yesterday in the morning, I took two gulps of water and the second gulp went down the wrong pipe. I couldn’t breathe for about 5 seconds, but I don’t remember coughing it all up. It just stopped. Is it possible the water went into my lungs? I’m terrified i’ll end up with aspiration pneumonia

No you won't get aspiration pneumonia. The water just went down the "wrong" way..Coughing just resolves everything and you carry on with your day.

Don't worry about it. When have you ever heard of someone being like "watch that water drinking, it'll give you pneumonia for sure!" ? People get pneumonia when they lie around in bed all day or from chest infections. This happened to you once, just go on and live your life. If by some very weird chance you happen to get pneumonia, you'll have symptoms and you'll know, and it can be treated.
