Hey Roger, nice to see you at last. I really envy you this connection.

How do you know this is Roger? it may be Roberta. I’ve read there is a difference in the shape of their crown…the red bit that goes down to their face. Also the male red breast is redder than the female which can show up brown spots.?

I love foxes wired but I don't see them anymore.
The only thing is that screeching noise they make in the middle of the night. I wonder why they do that, drawing attention to themselves.

You envy me or Roger Darksky? Well daughter has named the female Rosemary. Or her name could be Rachel? Oh how about Rhiannon? That sounds better, after Fleetwood Mac's hit.

Thank you ladies for your comments. Modern phones make things a lot easier regarding photos. That said I had a call from Sir David this morning, he wants to know what I'm doing next week.

Those noises can be ear piercing. They're like screams

Young Robins have left the nest. At least three, they are brown with speckles.

And your next quest Frodo my lad, is to get the adults to bring the babies to your hand. We will require proof of course.

Wired, the first time I heard a fox scream I thought someone was being murdered.

Fishman, your Robin story is so adorable.
Like darksky says, your next quest is for the young to come to you. Amazing!

We seemed to have adopted a dove. She/he (how can you tell?) spends all day hanging around the garden, sitting in our tree. I'm quite tempted to make her a tree house.
