    Are Induced Panic Attacks Possible

Worth a shot in the dark but when I work out low or high intensity it’s causing panic attacks and I can’t understand why

Used to happen to me a lot. When you exercise, your heart rate increases - as it should. But sometimes that increase in heart rate can trigger that fight or flight and then trigger anxiety. I’ve mostly worked through it by just continuing to exercise and ignore the panic. It gets easier the more you do it.

It's because a workout is a stressor, and any stressor can induce anxiety/panic if you are currently in that mode.

Dial back to walking for now. There is no fix for this in the short term, you have to let your CNS calm down and slowly re-introduce higher intensity.

Remember, even a low intensity workout is 'breaking' muscle fibre and signalling damage to the brain.
