Does anyone else get pelvic cramps when their period is due but no actual period. I have read it can be a peri thing but its freaking me out!

So sick of this. I've had a week of being weepy, period showed up on time but it's heavy and crampy and ugh. I'm worrying even though it's perfectly normal. Done with all the mess and hassle.

Jojo, I can't remember but I certainly got pelvic cramping but not sure if it was peri menopause.
Logically it could only be to do with the monthly cycle.

BlueIris, the monthly cycle brings emotions with it and that's why the tears come. But tears also come in as you
approach the menopause as your hormones are changing.
It's a natural response, although sometimes inconvenient and unexpected, but it's a must to let it go.

Jojo, I have the mirena coil and back in the day when I should have had periods and when I was peri, I used to get all the symptoms of a period including cramps and incredibly sore boobs but no period. I know the coil was responsible for it initially but then when I was peri it was linked to that too.

Blue, I used to be incredibly emotional before a period and to be honest that got worse when I became peri. It was so confusing, I could be furious one second and then a second later in tears. Thankfully that did settle down when I started HRT, and now at 57 things have evened our a lot more emotionally.

Period has lasted 8 days so far and hasn't quite stopped yet. Panicked so bad I only got 4 hours' sleep last night and I'm scared I'm dying. Only very light spotting now but I had a big clot yesterday morning.

I had long periods right up until I stopped BlueIris.
Clots that would make my eyes pop. Spotting, brown residue. Please don't worry.

8 days isn't a big deal, Carn? I worry so much I'm making myself ill and getting suicidal thoughts.

Nope, sometimes I felt like my time of the month was 2 weeks out of 4 if you include the cramping and after residue of the period. xx

Thank you, it's good to know. Trying to work on the anxiety right now.
