Back again after 2 years. EMG question.

I’ve worried about this disease on and off over the last few years. My last period of worry was around 2 years ago. I saw a neuromuscular specialist and he performed an EMG that was clean.
I had a previous EMG which showed denervation in my foot which caused a huge amount of anxiety.
Anyway, I managed to put it out of my mind after about 8 months, and since then I was doing very well with my health anxiety. However, this year it has decided to return to me. My toes were twitching more than normal (granted I will admit it was during a particularly stressful time), but I then started to obsess on my foot again.
Long story short, I started getting tightening and cramping in one toe in particular. I tried to ignore it, but decided to get an EMG just to put my mind at ease a little more. I do feel better, but I do have a question regarding the EMG if anyone knows. The EMG portion of the test was performed on my lower leg, below the knee but not on my foot. The results from my leg came back totally clean. So my question is…if the test was performed in my lower leg, would it pick up any serious issues in my foot if there were some?
I’m so disappointed that I fell back into the rabbit hole. I went back on medication and am seeing a therapist soon. I’m asking on here because I don’t want Google anything.

Sorry I have no idea, but I can be sure the person performing the test would know where to look, so you need to put your faith in them. I had a quick look at your post history and you have a very similar thread from about 6 years ago after an EMG. That's good - you can use that to see the pattern of your anxiety and how it works. What happened last time when you didn't believe the EMG? Was the doctor right or was your anxiety right? Try use that to reassure yourself as opposed to google or coming on here. You've been here before and it was all OK - the (3rd!) EMG was clean... focus on that!
