    Eye / vision issues

I'm posting this because I'm curious to know if anyone else have or had any issues similar.

I've noticed when I'm focused on looking at something closely other things in the background become a distraction to my left and right and sometime below.

    Beams /Rays from Light.
For example.... A street lamp caused a ray of light for a sec in the side of my vision while driving in the dark not when not even looking at it, like an aftereffect.

Looking out of the window on a sunny day is almost like seeing chunks of faint rays.

Light bouncing off a shiny surface, metal, brass, silver plate causing a reflection of a ray of light.
    Mirrors and glass too.

Catching direct sun and blobs in the vision, sometimes from a light bulb from a lamp.

    Floaters sometimes blurring my view.

Google is a bit scary to research and I know the Opticians is probably the first call. But if you've been given the all clear and seen a doctor I'm wondering if this is related to anxiety or some sort of migraine symptom or an aging thing.
Just interested to hear from others.

I get this a lot, for the past few years any bright lights are an absolute menace. I think it's maaaaybe part and parcel of the whole migraine thing and general light sensitivity.

I discussed all this with the optician a couple of months back and they said everything was healthy, for what it's worth.

Thanks BlueIris, I'm inclined to agree with you.
A bit of super sensory. I've noticed my smell is so sensitive too. And my hearing.
This low, strong sunlight is too much, I have to wear sunglasses. Its blinding. But I'm also sensitive to light bulb light. Mr C says its all normal but I can't remember being so sensitive in my younger years. Maybe it didn't bother me. A menace is a good description.

Another thing I've noticed is when I've been on my phone then close my eyes, I still get the outline of the phone and an oblong of light in my view for a while. I take that as bright light from the phone projecting in my eyes.

I think super sensory is a good description - I get the thing with light in times of high anxiety. It seems to affect all of my senses with increased sensitivity, I guess its a result of excess adrenaline for a prolonged period of time. My hearing and smell seem like they are turned up to the max sometimes as well.

I've had this twice now, both times after dropping off to sleep.
I wake up after a short doze and if I shut my eyes I can see a projection through my eyes of images, shapes, almost dream state but I'm awake. It goes after about a minute. It's so weird and I've never noticed it before.
Mr C said he's had it as well so at least it makes me feel less weird.

Strange thing happened to me while I was driving...A car had full headlights on behind me, probably because it was a bit dark with the cloudy day, still no reason for that imo.
I kept glancing in the rear view mirror, as you do, but as I did the reflection caused a group of zigzag bright lights in the corner of my eye as I turned away to look ahead. It didn't distort my vision and seemed a reaction to the reflection of the bright light. I happened several times when I glanced in the rear mirror and disappeared in second. Once the car had turned off it went away completely. I wasn't concerned but puzzled, mentioned it to Mr C who didn't think it was anything to worry about but I'm now wondering why it happened.
I know about ocular migraines and they typically last about 20 minutes but this was like the end tail of one as the zigzag lines disappear at the end of one.
It was definitely caused by the bright light.
