    PMS & Anxiety related?

So I've been pretty good for a while now, I haven't been majorly hit with anxious feelings for a while now.

Except for the week I get PMS. For that week I have the most amazing mood swings, I go from freakishly happy to not seeing the point in living [which I realise is a general sign of PMS], I get easily irritated [again, already a symptom]. But I also feel just generally "freaked out" and have nightmares for this week only and I get my chest pains.

Are they in any way related? Is there anything I can do about it? Is it worth mentioning to my nurse next appointment and if so how do I go about it?

I'm on the pill, it's meant to have got rid of pms dammit.

If it was lack of those hormones, surely the pill would help? Cause I get the symptoms in my last week of pills not in the week off. It's all very confusing.

    Hello I'm new. ^___^

I'd say they are definitely related. When you talk hormones, I guess everything can happen. I have a bad case of PMS and oh boy, I can totally relate with what you're describing. I'm on the pill too and almost 2 weeks before I get my period, I experience loads of physical and emotion stuff. I get mood swings, am always nervous and yeah, it's more likely to have nightmares when I'm in "the PMS part of the month".

    Hope this helped.
