Positive FIT test - colonoscopy today

Had a positive FIT test about 2 weeks ago and I just now found this site the day of my colonoscopy. I took the FIT more so on paranoia over thinking I saw a barely red hue in my stool. Doctor wanted to wait but I argued until he referred me. Only symptoms I have other than the positive test is some very minor abdominal aches that kinda come and go and some lower back pain. I’ve always had lower back issues, but it’s never been this consistent. Anyway, I know positive FIT tests only result in a CRC diagnosis about 5% of the time, but I’m still beyond terrified. I just want this whole thing to be over.

Its never a bad thing to have any and every test, it doesnt mean there is definitely a problem. I had two episodes of passing small amounts of blood and had two colonoscopys, they were both fine. I also had cameras in places I didnt know I had, again all fine. The worry did me more harm than the procedures. Im sure you will be OK, the prep for the camera will be the worst bit over and done with. All the best.
