    Rabies doesn’t act that quickly, that’s why you have 10 days to get the PEP. And that’s if the cat had rabies in the first place, which he doesn’t, or if he had actually bitten you, which he didn’t.

    I get it - rabies is terrifying. But you are going to be okay, because you don’t have it. Health departments don’t mess around with it - if they thought in any capacity you were at risk, they would tell you. But you haven’t been exposed.

    I woke up shaking this morning. Just woke up like that.

    I am really scared I do have it.

    Still shaking. Not doing it all the time but when I start thinking about it and Rabies I start up again.

    I checked on the cat. He’s doing fine. Today is the tenth day. That’s how long they say to quarantine from my local health department. The animal shelter thinks they will have him a home lined up really soon.

    I think my shaking is my blood pressure. It feels like it’s very high and I can see my pulse beating through my wrist.

    Started to believe that I was ok. And then yesterday I started feeling hot to the touch. Worried I have a fever and it’s rabies causing it
