@panic_down_under Sorry for late reply! Yeah, yesterday I had solid bowel movements, and they were normal colour, no cramps nothing. Today started slightly solid but then went soft again and slightly loose. But I’m not get the urgency sensation or the bad cramps. So I dunno, I worry a lot about any slight change.

I don't know either. As you have loperamide it might be worth trying to see if it makes a difference, but discuss it with your GP, or pharmacist first. Also, a heads up, it works by reducing the amount of fluid in the gut which has to go somewhere so you might be peeing more than usual. It is important to remain hydrated even though you may not be as thirsty.

@panic_down_under Hi! Quick update, yesterday and today I’ve had solid bowel movements, so hopefully it’s starting to settle down now. And going a normal amount of twice a day, so hopefully it’s healing now. I’ll keep track of it, and keep taking my Yakult, as I’m improving my diet for my cholesterol as well and exercising more and moving.

@panic_down_under Hi! I’m so sorry for not seeing your message earlier. I’m doing okay, my head definitely feels ten times clearer since being on the sertraline. I seem to get a spike of anxiety around my periods, so I think that’s a hormonal influence but I no longer get panicky about anything and it honestly makes life easier and less stressed. I had a little stress today because their was a missing half-beta prograne 80mg slow release tablet missing from my Wednesday section, and I think it was brain fog thinking I’d took it but I’m pretty sure I didn’t. So to side on caution I asked the pharmacist if I could skip todays without any adverse side effects until I take my next dose tomorrow. He said it was okay, said it would only cause some symptoms if I missed several days in a row. So because I’m unsure, I’m trying to convince myself that it’s okay to skip until tomorrow.

Beside that, life has been nice and quiet, and I’ve had more enthusiasm to do things, not big adventurous stuff, but being more active, and especially since I had those blood tests and my doctor said I had high cholesterol I’ve been improving my diet too. I’ve had more interest in things again, like music and movies and television, reading, writing, which I didn’t have before, it was all gone. I even started to bake again, which was nice. I still find crowds and lots of noise and bustle a little too much at times but it no longer panics me.

So all in all I’ve improved greatly in my mental wellbeing, my bowel movements have returned to normal, and I get very rare PVCs now, maybe the odd one here and there but not to the degrees I was and hopefully won’t. Beside my stress today of worrying if I did or didn’t take my propranolol, and deciding not to take any today just in case, I’m okay. How are you btw? I hope you’re doing well.

That's wonderful! Glad it is working well for you. Long may it continue!

I'm doing great, though my doctors may beg to differ. The ravages of a long and 'interesting' life are starting to catch up with me.

@panic_down_under Yeah, sometimes I feel like I’m waiting for something bad to happen because of how well it’s been, but I guess that’s a lingering fear of being happy or just content really, you always expect the worst haha! But thanks, it means a lot and all the advice you gave too. I probably should have started those tablets a long time ago but oh well, I know now, and they’ve helped immensely.

I hope it’s nothing too serious? Nothing that can’t be fixed I hope and it is good to hear you are doing well too, even as mad as the world is, even having a little peace of mind and a quiet life is good enough right now! I’ll pop in every so often to say hello if you’re around, as I still like to come here because it’s been such a safe space to come when I’ve been really scared. 🙏🏼🤗

This is one of the slippery slopes you need to not go down lest you talk yourself into it becomes self fulfilling. We humans are unfortunately very adept at being our own worst enemy.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for old age.

The world has always been mad. I used to help make it so. However, despite appearances, we're arguably living through one of the most peaceful, secure and prosperous periods in human history. With the possible exception of the mid to late 1950s I can't think of any other period I'd rather be living in.

Cool. Hopefully, you won't be needing that security in the future.
