weak grip and shoulder pain

i have a doctors appointment booked but cant get one until 22nd July. My mind is in overdrive so was wandering if anyone has had or has the symptoms i have. My shoulder began to ache 2 weeks ago. This got better but has now come back but since then my left hand lost grip for 1 day. it is now back but not as strong . Forearm has a dull ache and fingers not still when holding hand out straight. I am type 1 diabetic.

Yes, EXACTLY this..

It turned out to be a pinched nerve in my neck.

The whole thing was really upsetting to me, got my anxiety ramped up.

The weakness in my arm and hand freaked me out. The shoulder pain made me think I slept crooked but it did not get better.

The pain in my forearm went from an ache to real bad pain and then a feeling of novicaine.. numb.

All the while, my neck did not hurt.

After 6 weeks, I went to a chiropractor in tears. He knew immediately that it was a pinched nerve between c5 and c6 in my neck.

He put a treatment plan together for me and I started feeling better almost immediately.

I also bought a posture pump and use it to exercise my neck.

Thank you, i had thought it was maybe a sleping position but bought new pillows and slept in a different bed but no difference . i will wait and see what Doc says when i see him but you have taken my mind off this so thanks again

Can you please update your post to let us know what the dr says? So often there is no update and we (those of us with anxiety lol) think the worst.

Quick update Doctor reckons it may be cervical radiculopathy and has given me excercises. . have said if no improvement within 8 weeks i will need to be refered to check for anything more cynical. Last night upper arm was twitching in bed and still is so i am thinking this is more of a nerve issue.
