    Re: Positive :(

It's still blocked up. Some pain when I blow my nose too. I didn't know it can cause this.

The tiredness has gotten better I was able to walk the dog to Tesco which is a decent walk. Don't have that cement feeling in my arms and legs anymore.

Got back home today which feels so much better already. Was still at the ex's because my brother took the keys then booked himself a holiday abroad while I was looking after the ex's house. He picked me up today so now I'm back home. Glad to be sleeping in a bed and not a sofa. I was glad that I didn't have to walk the dog while recovering.

I had my blocked up ear and nose for quite some time wired. But it will eventually clear

    Re: Positive :(

Been 8 days now and the deafness hasn't improved or got worse. Tried otex. Cleaned with ear buds.

My brother works in opticians that do hearing tests. He said he's started to see this more frequently.

It's really getting to me now. I'm finding it hard to hear things at the higher frequencies. I usually watch lectures online but it's very distracting with my ear the way it is.

It's making me anxious. I'm testing my ear 20+ times a day. I put cotton wool in my good ear to test if my bad ear is improving. It's got to the point I purchased ear plugs to ensure that no sound is getting through the good ear when testing.

    :(

I think the ear issue is clearing up slowly. If I rub my fingers next to my ear I can now hear something. I couldn't before.

Thankfully the tiredness went away. I've been eating regular, and sleeping at decent times (except last night, I'm a bag of nerves, see other post).

I've been eating Goan Chicken Curry for over a week. I love the stuff. I'm quite the pro at making this type of curry. Chicken thighs are cheaper than breasts and the texture is so much better. So it fits the budget and I get to eat decent home made food.

Mine went away gradually as well. Some days better than others.

I prefer chicken thighs wired, they are far more tasty

I think it's a symptom that needs to be made a bit more well known because it did scare the jeebies out of me thinking I was going deaf.

    What a ride that was.

I used to use chicken breast, but the meat isn't as good as thighs imo. And the price for chicken breasts is insane. I remember you could get a large tray for a 5a!

I bailed out of the hike. They left an hour or so ago. I'd have loved to have done it, but the anxiety got the better of me this time.

I think you made the right decision, you're only just getting over that virus and it might have wiped you out

That was a concern. I've also read that doing strenuous exercise so soon after COVID can induce long COVID. Knowing that this illness can damage nerves means anything could be lurking when put under pressure. Even though I feel ok, I'm going to focus on recovery for a while longer.

I really appreciate the support you've helped me with Carnation. Truly a friend

    Aww, you are welcome

After my virus I was easily fatigued for about 3 months and gradually I felt my old self again, whatever that is, lol.
