Brilliant show Darksky! I had seen it before, but started watching it again yesterday. It's a very real depiction, of the problems in many cities at the moment. The acting was fantastic. I expected it to be a bit amateurish but it wasn't.

Lenco, I firmly believe it's the "keep calm carry on" attitude at play. I don't agree with it because I fear another pandemic, but it's a movement that's been put into swing many times since WW2. Only time will tell if it will have negative repercussions. It will be costly if a strain appears that causes problems.

Having COVID today is a lot less worrying than it was when the pandemic was in full flight. Catching COVID back then mentally felt like you had a plague. Now it feels like a flu. Physically it's much worse than a flu for me, but mentally there's less worry.
I agree that we can't afford to be complacent in case of any future pandemic (heaven forbid), but I guess at the same time it's important to strike a sensible balance between being cautious/prepared for all eventualities 'within reason' and not constantly worrying ourselves sick over hypothetical situations that might or might not materialise in the future.

I've felt a bit iffy on and off during the past week or two (mainly nausea and IBS-related issues but sometimes cold/hay fever-like symptoms as well) but as most of us are generally more relaxed about Covid in general of late (including its relatively sparse media attention), I'm not too worried right now.

Anyway, it's nice to know you now seem to be on the mend, and that your recent bout of Covid was relatively short-lived and passed without any serious issues.

Have you seen Summerhouse? It’s a prequel to Topboy. Maybe should have watched it first but that’s next on the list.
I haven't! I didn't know this, I'm usually up to date with these shows. Thank you.

One of my favorite characters too. Jasmine Jobson played it so well. I'd like to see her in more.

Fingers crossed you're well Lenco. Do you have any tests? It's likely nothing to worry about because you'd have probably shown symptoms by now.

I needed to make a curry today to get some goodness in me so I went into the small town around here. Then got lost and ended up walking carrying my backpack and shopping bags for a good hour following my internal compass home (it failed on me). Then I called a taxi because I was completely lost and frustrated at that point.

It would appear I counted my chickens before they hatched. Saturday night I had a wicked migraine and was too tired to cook. I fell asleep.

Just cooked and felt dizzy, and woozy. My head feels dethatched from my body. Still feeling under the weather somewhat. Now I actually am relaxing until I feel better.

I do it all the time folks. I think I'm better before I am. When I had a testicle removed because of Cancer I tried to go shopping 3 days after surgery because I felt ok. And then ended up with a painful infection that took weeks to recover from.

Sometimes you do get false dawns with illness. So yes, take a step back and relax again.

BTW…..who do you think killed Sully? Jaq or the Irish?

    We’ve just started Summerhouse.

Good question. It could have been anybody I've seen some people suggest it's Kieron's mum because she can be seen through the window on the Netflix image.

I've been relaxing today reading a new book called Nuclear War by Annie Jaycobsen. It's a very good read so far. 1/4 way through it.

Sorry you're still feeling grimy. The last time I had covid it did a number on my inner ear and had me dizzy for a while after I was better.

For crime drama, a friend just recommended Foyle's War to me, which you've all probably seen already, but is new to this American! I'm really enjoying it. For some spy drama, I'm reading Operation Mincemeat now, which was also turned into a Netflix movie about a badass British intel operation during World War II.

Is Mincemeat the film about the codebreakers? There's a film about that during WW2 that I wanted to see. Not sure if it's the one. I haven't seen Foyle's War either, so thank you

Regarding the ear. Did it feel like your ear was blocked even though it isn't? I've got this on one side. Like it needs to pop. And it's making me dizzy. I feel pretty good apart from that, but I'm still relaxing non the less.

    Re: Positive :(

    Thankfully that went away.

    I mean I feel ok...ish. But there's something that don't feel right.

For the past 2 days I have random bouts of tiredness where I will sleep. And I feel weak. But it's not a weakness that I'm used to. I'm sleeping ok, and eating ok.

It's not like a hunger weakness. It's like a heaviness in my legs, and arms. Like physical weakness as opposed to mental.

It could be my meds as they were upped 50mg. They do knock me out like a horse at night, but I've not felt this with them before.

I'm still taking it relatively slowly. Apart from cooking and washing up I relax on the sofa. Currently designing some clothing in Roblox with my son for our Roblox clothing store. You can make a fair few quid selling them. What a world we live in
