Please can you terminate my account for good.

I've been contemplating this for a good while now as I feel my tenure as a member of this forum has now finally run its course and also feel I'm no longer gaining anything through being here.

I also seem to be embroiled in endless disagreements with certain forum members of late (albeit usually unwittingly), which I feel has now strengthened my case for making my final decision to call it quits.

Nevertheless, thanks for everything during the past 4 and a half years,

    Lencoboy.

    Hiya,

We would be sorry to see you go..

However, we will give you the usual 24 hours and then close your account.

I would be sorry to see you go. If it’s related to the issue I noticed earlier about you sometimes sharing personal experiences in threads, and some members feeling it changes the focus of the topic, maybe there’s a solution. You could start your own thread where you can post updates, share your thoughts, and talk about whatever’s on your mind? I see a few other members do something similar.

We haven’t spoken to each other much, but I’ve always enjoyed reading your posts on topics and current happenings in the world. Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best in the future.

    Take care!

Lenco, have only just seen this post. I'd be sad to see you go as well buddy. I don't mind reading your posts either. And I agree with Keith, your own threads would be a good idea where users can choose to look in and read. Reminiscing on the past is common to many people.

I get wistful thinking of the 1980s, likely because they were the best years of my life. Except of course when anxiety had finished pupating and emerged like some hideous, bloated creeping thing.

I agree 100% - I ruminate over that past far too much because I was (at one point in the 80's and 90's) a thriving person and now just empty shell is left of a soul that I used to be - not even 1/2 the guy I used to be.

    To Lenco:

I'd just take a good long break from the forum rather than close your account in case you might need such support in the future and I'd hate to see you cut off this outlet; but of course, its up to you and I do wish you well regardless though we've never spoken to each other but I do read everything, or I try to catch up. Honestly, hate to say it, there aren't many good trustworthy forums still around.

Why is my account on here still active despite my requests for its termination almost a month ago now?

No, I still haven't changed my mind re leaving and still wish to leave this forum for good.
