Cacao and Effexor

Has anyone tried a spiritual Cacao ceremony whist taking Effexor?

Just wondered about contra-indications.

I'm struggling to get a decent answer from anywhere.

The theobromine alkaloid in cacao may speed up how quickly venlafaxine is metabolised. This probably won't be significant for a one-off event, but could become an issue with regular use. Theobromine may increase anxiety levels for a while and both theobromine and venlafaxine are vasodilators so avoid potentially hazardous activity, including driving, if you feel lightheaded or faint.
