Metallic taste anyone?

Yes,I am getting myself wound up,I dont think it's dental, I dud get 2 fillings had a check up yesterday,but the taste was there before ,now after I went,I was too scared to tell dentist, because stupidly I googled, so I'm asking has anyone experienced metallic taste in mouth and NOT had neurological issues please...ha nit the best at moment been quite a stressful ,anxiety induced couple of years

Yes I’ve had that taste, usually when the anxiety as been high and constant and no I haven’t had or got neurological issues...
It could also be something you have eaten that’s left an after taste or maybe if the anxiety is high with you it’s upsetting your digestive system and that’s leaving an after taste in you mouth....
Don't worry about it, it will go when the anxiety calms down and Do Not Google, that’s the worst thing you can do, it will only come up with something Nasty which is far from the truth...xxx

When a metallic taste is caused by something neurological (I’m going to guess you’re worried about brain tumours causing this) it occurs because the tumour causes a small seizure in the temporal lobe. During this people can report INTENSE smells and tastes; it can be anything - not just metallic.

Anyway, these tastes occur very intensely for 30 seconds to 2 minutes, after which they disappear. They’re almost always accompanied by an intense smell of something that isn’t there, a sensation of Deja Vu, a rising sensation in the stomach and a ‘complex partial seizure’…this is where you black out (but don’t convulse). People are very confused after the event.

From your description, you are categorically NOT suffering from a neurologically-induced taste.

Off the top of my head:
Are you taking antibiotics / GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic or Mounjaro / SSRIs / ACE inhibitors / Heart medications?
Do you suffer from GORD?
Gum disease?

What you’re describing is completely benign.
