    What hope is there?

    Where else can I go for help if I've alraedy done CBT, am already on antidepressants, and the doctors just like to increase/decrease/switch antidepressants. I can't cope with the anxiety anymore, my brain is a mess and I am withdrawing and just wanting to be in bed all the time. It's just getting worse as I get older and I don't know how to stop it :(

    Have you considered mindfulness or a different type of therapy?

    I've not tried any other therapy as they only seem to offer CBT via doctor/nhs. I just don't know where to go to get help. I feel like I've used up the doctors options :(

    I strongly recommend meditation when medication fails. Search youtube and you'll see no shortage. Feel better.

    PS: What are you withdrawing from? Just curious as perhaps others might be of help on that subject. I know its hard and I've also had to WD as of late and I'm reducing the benzo and I'm not gonna lie; its hard sometimes. I also had to detox from a pretty severe case of alcoholism back in 2017 when I got clean and sober. Some days are rougher than others and you will have good days and good moments even on bad days.

    Hi I’m feeling exactly the same have had so many tablets and so much therapy and probably feel the worst I’ve ever felt am starting mindfulness based cbt in a couple of weeks which is new to me so fingers crossed good luck x

    Ah sorry I meant withdrawing from people/life, just wanting to stay in bed etc

    Apparently so but not really sure how I had a telephone assessment with the instructor he says it’s not easy and you have to put the effort in at home too I’m just hoping it helps as nothing else is at the moment x

    Raspberry have you had any counselling? Some charities offer free or cheap counselling that might help? Also what about a local support group? Xx

    The NHS run CBT especially the online one isnt for everyone,
    have you been on Anti depressants very long, not all types work right for all people and they do need quite some time. Plus there are others you can taper and switch too if one isnt suitable.
    To gove you a little hope, lots of us have trodden the same path with good results in the end,

    I find the youtube meditation and breathing videos to take a half hour and relax do me a workd of good.
    Also good is the vagus nerve relaxation techiniques help, nice walks, and yes COLD showers give me a half hour boost. Im still struggling but these things do help

    Lying around, lets the anxiety and your thought runs free, and takes longer. Try as hard as you can to push yourself out the door, and get some fresh air and excersise, little by little
