    Getting better but worried constantly

Hi all, I have been doing so much better. The betahstine Dydrochloride took time to work for the weird unsteady feeling etc. and I was having days where I forgot about it. 2 days ago I became unwell, saw the pharmacy and have tonsillitis. I have been given penicillin but it's almost like PTSD whereby I think the dizziness from the last time I was ill is going to ruin me for months again. I like to think that the Betahistine is going to take care of it as I'm still of them however I am feeling a bit woozy. I haven't had tonsillitis in years, can the general unwell feeling better down to having it? I'm resting and drinking lots of water but every time I move or anything I wonder if the weak feeling is coming back and it's affecting me so much. I just want to feel better then pray it's not going to help a post viral thing? Plus I am sure I've never heard of post viral tonsillitis.

Do you think it would be silly to call Dr to see if tonsillitis could cause the dizziness to come back or is that silly, or I could ask if the Betahistine should keep it away. I'm confused

Probably not helpful, but I get dizzy from anxiety. After enough times of it occurring, I was able to pinpoint that anxiety was the cause and it went away.

Sometimes after I'm sick the dizziness is from dehydration. Keep in mind that dehydration is more than just needing water. I like to drink a pedialyte or something similar and it usually straightens me out.

Thank you, is a pedialyte like a diarrhea drink type thing? I had the unsteadiness for about 4 months and it took so long to go away. I like to think the Betahistine will help, anxiety must cause not helping though.

I'm now feeling so jittery....why is this happening. I'm trying to occupy myself too so can't be anxiety

Apart from the throat, I've just taken a walk and feel woozy in a different way I did when I had the post viral thing but it still triggers how I felt. Can tonsillitis make you feel like this....I haven't Googled in a while which has helped and 8 don't want to apiral

Personally I think it’s unlikely the tonsilitis is causing dizziness. I think what’s causing you to feel dizzy is the anxiety over the dizziness coming back. It’s anticipatory anxiety. I get it all the time. I hate being dizzy more than about anything else. I also get occasional vertigo so when those bouts hit me, even though the vertigo resolves within a short amount of time, I’m in a heightened state of anxiety for a couple weeks, constantly analyzing whether I’m dizzy or if the dizziness is going to come back. So I trick my brain into thinking I’m dizzy when I’m really not.

I'm starting to think it's that too, the brain is so powerful. Last night, I felt so unsteady again and I just don't want to feel like I did just as I was getting better. I'm not sure what to do to helpyself, I try distraction, rest etc.
