The title says it all. Just when I thought I was finally post menopause, it's back :(

nope you have to go a full 12 months and some doctors even say 13 months you have to start the count again, I am so sorry.
One day at a time

I saw a GP today and got a referral. Pelvic scan is on Monday.

Yes totally can happen in the menopause.
I had the ultrasound. I didn't feel the sonographer focussed on anything in particular but I don't let myself look at the screen so she may have.

GP just rang to say endometrium is thickened and measuring 9mm. I'm not on HRT and have a risk factor (obesity) so I'm doing some deep breathing to ward off a panic attack. She says I can still go on my trip but I just want to cancel and get the biopsy. Have an appointment with her tomorrow to discuss next steps.
I'm also going to reach out to my old therapist to see if I can get some Telehealth appointments.

I totally get you won’t want this hanging over you when you go on your trip…. but it is most likely benign. The biopsy is quite a simple procedure done in the doctor’s office…. (ive had one)… maybe it can happen fairly quickly?
And endometrial hyperplasia is common and treatable
Actually- sorry i googled- endometrial linings less than 11mm (post menopause) usually do not need a biopsy because the risk is so low
