Tetanus???

I need someone to tell me I'm crazy and over reacting. I was cleaning some little decorations in my kitchen. They had wire arms that have rusted i didn't notice till after I washed them. So basically my hands were in a bowl of soapy rusty water.

Now my intrusive thoughts are telling me I got tetanus. I don't think I cut myself and I got my tetanus shot 5 or 6 months ago.

Your shot will protect you.

But also “fun” fact - most tetanus comes from the dirt around the sharp and rusty items that put you at risk, and most typically that is items that are outdoors. A rusty item you have kept in your kitchen is really, really low risk for harboring the correct bacteria in the first place.
