    Acidic stomach

I have been suffering from lots of catarrh in my throat, the feeling of a lump in my throat and a sort of heat/ glow also in my throat.I have been put on lanzoprazole but it doesn’t seem to making any difference. My chest also feels quite tight.I now also have an acidic stomach that feels almost like it is fizzing.I have suffered from IBS for years but am now beginning to think it has been stomach cancer or bowel cancer all along.Surely the medication should have worked? My anxiety is spiralling out of control and zi am tearful anc afraid.Had anyone else experienced the same? Please reply if you have any experience of this.I am really struggling

It may take longer than 2 weeks.

It could be post nasal drip and anxiety can cause the lump in throat feeling.

I would tell your GP that the medication isn't helping and see what they say.

    Re: Acidic stomach

Sometimes the meds take a bit longer to work but maybe there is something else going on, it does not mean it is stomach C or something like that, could be something else that is working itself out. Totally understand where you are at as I am going through something right now too where anything I eat gives me indigestion and bloating and of course my head makes it think that its the worst thing possible.

Anxiety could definitely be causing the lump in throat and I agree as above, give it another week or so and if you still not better talk to the GP again or see if they can refer you to a gastro
