    News About Noro

    Hi all,

This is my first post here after being a long time reader. I am terrified of catching the dreaded Noro. It's all over the news. I keep seeing people posting on social media about having it. I haven't thrown up for 15 years at least now and I'm scared it's "my time"? I spent all of yesterday so nauseous and with diaorrhea after I ate breakfast and I became obsessed that I have a bug. I haven't eaten for over 24 hours as a result and I don't know what to do. I guess I'm just reaching out for support. I don't know if this is all anxiety? What is the likelihood of me being sick? I don't have children, I work from home, etc Thank you!

    Re: News About Noro

First off: Welcome to NMP; world-dreamer.

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with this, you aren't alone at all. I think you should eat things that settle your stomach; like try a cup of camomile tea in the PM and see it that helps. Another thing, rest assured that a virus needs to run until it dies off and its your immune system that fights it so try some yogurt and see if has a double-effect in that it *might* settle your stomach and go a long way to improve your immune system overall.

Please feel free to reach out for support. I'm not sure its all anxiety but its sound like you live a reclusive lifestyle like myself. I do go out much and I'm hardly around other people.

Perhaps others can add more helpful insight that I'm currently missing and I feel bad about that. I hate to let people down.

Take good care and good luck,

    Salvatore
