    Losing weight?

As I have mentioned in my other threads 2024 was not a good year for me. I found out I was pregnant in late June after trying for a LONG time, I began eating healthier / cut soda completely and I lost weight. I miscarried in September and have been drinking soda again in the 4 months, however I am still losing weight. When I went to my Gyno today do discuss getting pregnant again he noted that I have lost weight. I was freaked out and told him IÂ’m not sure why that is, and he told me he just wants to make sure IÂ’m eating. ( he knows itÂ’s obviously been a very tough time for me)

The thing is IÂ’m down another 5 pounds since October, and I am genuinely confused as to why this is. IÂ’m starting to worry about cancer. I am under insane stress with work, a lot of days I donÂ’t even take a lunch break. I am also still very much so trying to cope with my late miscarriage. My husband told me he has noticed I eat less and I do feel less hungry sometimes. Sometimes I feel like everyone thinks IÂ’m coping so well but they donÂ’t understand the pain IÂ’m still in. My health anxiety is so bad again. I have had a couple of people comment telling me I look like IÂ’m losing weight too

When I got to my job today I was so worried I was on the verge of tears and a guy told me I look like I’m sick or something which freaked me out more. My dr didnÂ’t seem overly concerned with the amount he lost, but I am :(

    Re: Losing weight?

    I'm sorry for your loss.

Five pounds in ~3-4 months really isn't an alarming amount (we can fluctuate a few pounds every day) and it sounds like you aren't eating well anyway so it really isn't surprising. All of the comments are just confirmation bias because of the anxiety, any other time someone made that remark you may not notice or care.

If your doctor isn't concerned, please don't focus to heavily on that. If you were losing weight at an alarming rate they would definitely follow up on that. All of the extra stress isn't helpful either, I hope some of that can ease up soon.
