Shortness of breath mental health crisis

Hi everyone, I feel like I’m not far from real crisis point. The last week I’ve had this awful shortness of breath feeling, my chest feels tight and I just feel like I can’t get a proper breath. I keep breathing through my mouth to try and stop the feeling and it’ll go away for a few seconds but then it’s back. The feeling in my chest is really bothering me, almost like there is a stopper that’s not allowing me to breathe fully. I’m in a real state.

My high rate is also high, my oxygen on my meter is at 98/99, I can’t stop checking my oxygen constantly. I’m terrified I have a lung or heart problem.

I know you know this is anxiety, but this is anxiety.

I haven’t posted because I have been reading the countless old replies to my other posts in the hopes of some sort of clarity. Lots of irrational thoughts that are proving difficult to control.
The decision has come down to booking a doctors appointment for a chat. I am taking a propanolol every morning to try and ease the heart rate.

Thanks blue. This week I have dropped the kids to school and then have come home and laid in bed. The anxiety surrounding me is really bad right now, I’m struggling to get any motivation or get up and go. Even a shower is exhausting right now.

Honestly, I always struggle to shower. If you're in bed, at least do something nice for yourself like making a hot drink or watching a favourite show?

I made myself a tea and I ended up taking a two hour nap. I seem to sleep fine and breathe okay when I’m asleep, so I hope that’s a good sign. My friend came over this afternoon and took my oxygen meter home with her.

IÂ’ve tried to get a doctors app but itÂ’s got to the point here that you have to stand outside the surgery in a queue and you may or may not be seen. They seem to have changed their appointment booking system recently so itÂ’s a lot more difficult. I am really struggling with my thoughts today.

Urgh I’m struggling. The last two days I have an awful cold which I have caught from my kids. Well I have some phlegm which I have hacked up but I’m not sure if it’s come from the nose or my chest and it was so lumpy and horrible, with flecks of blood in. I’m so anxious, I’m in bed and I can barely move.
I’m so worried this is all related to something wrong with my lungs.
