    Re: Where has everyone gone???

I've been wondering the exact same thing for some time now, and I know I can disappear from the forum for months at a time, but that's because I find the forum can be triggering for me, even reading the title of a thread can set me off lol

I started using this forum about 8 or 9 years ago I think and it was so so helpful. Always someone giving me some practical advice, or calming me down and making me look at things more rationally. I miss all of those names that have been mentioned in this thread too. I really hope they've moved on because things have improved for them and they don't need to be part of an anxiety forum anymore.
But it's just so quiet compared to what it used to be.

Well I miss loads of people too but will keep NMP going for those that need it as I know so many anxiety websites didn't survive and shut down. It is mainly the costs and time involved - it is not cheap to run a website and hard to get people to dedicate their time for free to help out.

Maybe people will come back in time.

We can still reach out and help anyone we can.

This website was recently recommended to me by a crisis line. I did expect it to be busier but I can see the goodwill in every post and it is keeping me afloat right now. I appreciate the effort of those behind it and all the contributors. The historic posts are a mine of useful information. I hope to make some friends here.

Welcome, Matthew, thank you for sharing a bit of your backstory joining here. I've been finding relief here for years and I sincerely hope that sharing my experiences provides the same relief to others. Although it's not nice knowing others are suffering, it's nice not to be the only one going through something. You know?

I was only saying to Carnation the other day how quiet it is, where have loads of the older members gone...I hope it doesn't get any worse and people start returning, not because they are sick but just to give advice to others if they are feeling better x

I've been a member since 2006 I think. Have come and gone over the years but lately I've noticed a drop-off in posting. I too miss some well known posters. Pulisa, Terry, Nora and more.

I agree about Facebook. Some groups on there are ok, but others are like bear pits where you can get as much abuse as help.

    Hi

This is just a courtesy reply to let you know that your post was moved from its original place to a sub-forum that is more relevant to your issue.

This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.

Thanks so much, Anglo. Yes, a reassuring sense of safety in numbers despite the obvious pain we're in.
