I first came here probably like 17 years ago but I've never been truly active at posting. A lot more people read, relate and sympathise with your comments than you might realise. It can be disheartening when people don't reply, but I like to remind myself that one day somebody will probably find my unanswered post and just be happy they aren't alone in whatever they're feeling at that moment.
Just thought I'd jump in and echo some of the thoughts. I still suffer reasonably with HA, but my peak worries were around 2019-2022 and this place was a godsend. It still has some lovely people around who were (and continue to be) so helpful - blueiris, nicola, jojo, fmp.
But yes, a lot of users have left - Pulisa and Nora were extremely helpful and kind, and it's sad they're no longer around. At the time above you also you had users like Mynameisterry, WiseMonkey, KK77, jray23 etc who very active, and again, helpful to myself. There are probably a few more who I can't remember.
I used to also join the chatroom once a week where a gang of users met up - hasn't happened for a long time now.
I guess things like facebook has had an effect, where now you see more groups set up - I'm on 2 HA groups, and 2 IBS groups, however I don't find them nearly as helpful as the replies and advice I would get on here. (even though I didn't listen most of the time because my head was a mess).

I'll try and drop in tonight.

Yes FB group is not the same. I find a lot of posts are one sided. Everyone is asking advice but not many offering. I miss how the NMP page felt like a place where you could either be told to seek medical advice or given useful signposts to help. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you to breath and get a grip 😂
