Colonoscopy and biopsies done

I had a colonoscopy done today , and was really nervous about results . My symptoms were constipation. Doctor said after procedure , that I had hemroids and he took some biopsies . He said he is testing for colitis . I asked him if he was worried and he said not at all . I am now thinking he just said this because he knew I was so anxious . I have 3 weeks to wait before I go back for results . I don’t know how I’m going to get through the next 3 weeks , I have to work and I have 2 daughters , it’s exhausting putting on a brave face . My health anxiety got really bad after my brother passed away with cancer 4 years ago . I’m trying to think positive but the voice in my head keeps saying this is it this time .

Honestly they would tell you if there was a problem.

I have had multiple colonoscopies and each time they have been honest and told me what they found. They would not lie or cover anything up - imagine if they did and you sue'd them!

So forget about it for now and get on with living.

Thank you for replying , I have just had a big chat with my younger brother , who also has health anxiety after we lost our brother , and he basically said the same thing , and told me to get out of bed and start living ! Your comment and chat with my brother has got me out of bed . Thank you
