    Trusting

Do you ever find yourself not believing health professionals or think they didn’t look at something right? I’ve got some miles I went to the GP about one looks like it has a maybe a freckle joined to it. The GP looked at them all and said she sees nothing to worry about. I’m not panicking that the little freckle mark is part of the bigger mole spreading even though she looked and told me everything was fine.
Is this somthing thays common in health anxiety? I have also just increased my sertraline dose form 50 to 75 after seeing the GP and her advice that’s it’s all just anxiety.

    Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately it's very common with health anxiety. I've been there myself, many times. Questioning they didn't look at something right, or they didn't see what you see, or they didn't feel it etc etc
Your anxiety will always make you think about the what if's and buts. It's just a horrible nagging voice in the head, which feels very very real for most of us.
Your doctor looked at the mole as a trained professional, not as someone with anxiety. If she had any little suspicion that something might not be right, they simply don't take chances with it, they take the next step which is usually a referral or something.
What your doctor saw was not a dodgy looking mole but a person who's suffering from anxiety.
Take comfort from the fact you showed it to the doctor and she saw nothing wrong with it. It's just your anxiety trying to convince you otherwise.

Thank you, this made me see things much more rationally and you are totally right , they are professional and I am not.
I just seem to be jumping from one thing to another these last few weeks.

I have been referred for some therapy but that’s not for a few more weeks , also increasing my sertraline to 75.
It’s like a get this sudden surge where I need to check and then start with a panic.

    Hi there..

I hope you feel better soon and the increase in the medication helps you. I'm on 150MG myself and it is helping.

Thank you, I have take my first dose of 100 tonight . Hope it starts to work soon.
This morning was the worse yet, I just didn’t want to get out of bed, I’m really finding mornings hard in just full of “ fear”

You're very welcome. You should start to notice a difference in about 10 days. I would recommend taking it as soon as you get up, because, taken too close to bedtime can cause issues. I think you'll be surprised and hopefully that fear will go away and your dark days will be less and less and no more.

    Be well

I went to the GP yesterday totally reassured but now I’m thinking what if she didn’t feel what I mean .
Why does my brain do this .
