My neurologist sent me for bloodwork. One of them called ACE blood test(Angiotesin 1 converting enzyme). This was to check for sarcoidosis. Mine was slightly elevated. 9 -67 is normal range mine was an 84. Now the neurologist was not concerne. He doesn't think I have sarcoidosis. My chest scans are clear. But there are other diseases that can cause an elevation. Granulomas, cancers, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, gauchers disease, etc.. Now I'm left wondering if I have any of these other diseases. Did anyone else have this test and be slightly elevated but have no disease? I'm really scared now. All my other inflammatory markers were normal. Basic labs normal. Had 6 ct scans of the vhest abdomen and pelvis this year all normal. I'm so confused.
