Getting bad anxiety about possible skin cancer. I fear the worst.

I noticed this spot on my skin in an area where there's no sun exposure. When I noticed it, I immediately started to worry a bit as the shape itself is already a red flag.

I had to fight off crying at work yesterday after discovering this mark because it's very stressful. The more I look into it and search google for pics like mine, my fear only grows that it's definitely skin cancer of some sort. I really hope not. All I know is there's no itching or anything like that. It's a new spot too from what I know. First I've noticed it.

I understand that but it's pretty disheartening to see a reply and it's just that you mentioned removing the photos. Not even anything regarding my concerns.

I guess I'll probably just get it checked out and be told it's skin cancer. I don't see how it's not.

Sorry - it didn't look anything like skin cancer to me but as I said I am not medical so yes please do get it checked out but that would not worry me at all.

Hi I’m also currently going through the same fears and anxiety.
I’ve had multiple moles/ freckles checked over the past month all to be told are fine.
They all look different and Google hasn’t been my friend !

Yes, definitely get it checked. I'm going to start doing annual skin cancer screenings, just as a precaution.

But keep in mind that even if it is sinister, that vast majority of skin cancers just need to be removed and that's the end of it.
