    Racoon anxiety

The other day I pulled into my driveway and as I went to park my car, I saw a racoon coming from around my house and going into my neighbor's yard. This wouldn't bother me except it was in the daytime. My fear is could I get the virus from my shoes after walking where the racoon may have walked it is really bothering me. I really don't relish panic attacks that may come over this. Thanks

That is literally impossible! No buts or what ifs about it!

    Yes, totally impossible.

Also, it's not uncommon for raccoons to be active in the daytime, so that isn't an indication it is unwell anyway.

Not sure why thoughts on getting this disease doesn't go away

Ok i did my post on may 18 regarding racoon anxiety and received two responses from FMP and Poppy. You would think that would help but now I am sick with a very bad infection and sore throat. I went to the Doctor he gave me antibiotics. Now today I am a bit anxious that perhaps I had walked in Racoon saliva and brought it in on my shoes. Can you get rabies second hand from surface a possibly rabid animal was walking with it's mouth open? I know this sounds crazy but i would like thoughts on it Please

    No, you cannot.

And a sore throat is not a symptom of rabies anyway.
