Hi
I have had and still have severe abdominal pain across the middle of my lower abdomen which at times is very bad down lower left. It comes in horrible waves for a while and then eases down. It goes to my lower back but i do have a problem there anyway so it is sensitive. It came out of the blue 4 nights ago and has been happening ever since. I did have ibs years ago and it maybe feels similar but not having had a pain anything like this for years it is difficult to remember exactly what it was like. It is so difficult to bear. I saw the doctor today and he gave me a thorough examination and said everything feels normal, did a urine test which was normal. I had 2 stool tests and a blood test a few months ago for antibiotic caused diarreah which were normal and this did eventually settle down. At its height it is so difficult to bear. It is worse before going to the toilet and when I go but my stools are normal to look at. The doctor asked me a lot of questions and said its nothing to worry about I am trying to believe this but I have had HA for many years and am finding this "its alright" but not given a reason for the pain playing on my mind especially when the pain is at its height.
I had a covid jab the day before the pain started and I am suspicious but the doctor thought it very unlikely to be connected. I have had covid jabs before they only made me feel tired, but it seems a bit odd to me. It probably isn't but I wish it was as it may disappear soon.
Has anyone had these severe pains in waves with ibs and lasting for days on end? It would help to know and does anyone think I am silly to connect it to the covid jab.
Replies would be much appreciated
