I put Steradent tablet in my mouth thinking it was mouth wash

I bought Steradent tablet from the shop which was in the mouth wash area, it was the cheapest, kills 99% of bacteria and removes 50% of plaque than brushing alone.

Foolishly, I thought it was mouth wash and didn't read properly before use, anyways this morning I tried it, it was disgusting and kept bubbling up in my mouth.

That's when I read the warning part that it's for dentures only and not to swallow.

I have washed my mouth and gargle with water several times, drank a bottle of water.

I think I also swallowed a bit of it while running to the toilet to spot it out.

Right now, my throat feels mildly sore and the top of the palate is a bit sore too.

No breathing difficulties or allergic reactions.

I feel a bit sweaty but might be due to feeling really anxious.

Not sure if I really should be concerned about this now.

    I feel such an idiot.

Absolutely nothing to get in a lather about, you’ll be fine! But more to the point, did it actually kill 99% of the bacteria and remove 50% of the plaque without your having to brush your teeth? Because if it didn’t, you should demand your money back.

    Ok🙂.
I doubt it did remove plaque "more than brushing alone" or killed bacteria, though it did taste like plaster or antiseptic.
Was 89p at home bargains 😅.
