    Hospital admission

    Hi all.
Just want to let everyone know that I am in hospital. I was admitted, early hours of 19 August because of weight loss and mental health issues.
I am not coping well in hospital but atleast I’ve got my own room and am getting looked after. Got transported by ambulance which was something new for me.
I suffer with germs issues and change in routine, so being in hospital, I am finding a big challenge.

Hello tort, sorry to hear this news but try to see the positive side. I know you've been struggling for sometime especially with the eating. The hospital will get you back on track with this and build your strength up. It's not going to happen overnight, it's going to take time but you'll get there. You are strongwilled, you can do this x

    Re: Hospital admission

Thank you all. I’ve been enjoying my meals. Did something really impressive today. I walked out of the ward, through the hospital and went outside to a public path next to the hospital. I’d been housebound for five years until this week, apart from going to my driveway. I walked with a former carer of mine, who visited me on her day off work.

Well done for enjoying your meals and for going outside after such a long time housebound. A huge achievement!

I hope the hospital admission will bring about some positive changes for you and that you'll have more help arranged for when you return home.
