Panicking about my husband - stool test

I know I'm being ridiculous and jumping the gun here, but it's really hard to get on with my work when I'm panicked.

Mr Iris has had a couple of months of constipation which is relieved by minimal doses of macrogol, but then returns. He's been asked for a stool sample. Last time he did this it was for the screening programme, and resulted in a positive test, a colonoscopy and several benign polyps being removed, including one that was 17mm. It was a very stressful time for both of us.

I'm incredibly afraid that it'll be cancer this time - he's 58, so in the right age bracket. Really don't know what to do.

I've got a colonoscopy coming my way too at some point, Blue (always a pleasure...)

Totally understand your concern. But he was ok before and there's no reason why this time should be any different. (The screening works, in that those polyps were removed)

Mr B has had a few colonoscopies after positive FIT tests (no cancer)

All you can do is try and work on your anxiety and try not to catastrophise. (Big ask, I know)

You know where to find me if you want to talk privately.

Out of interest, does he take any meds that could be causing the constipation?

Nope, no meds but we're both quite sedentary. Will message you later.
