Muscle twitches - how much is normal

I started tuning into these sensations a few years ago. I’ve gone through weeks of having the twitchy eye on and off however it seems to be the strange twitches in the bigger muscles of arms, legs and buttocks which worry me more. There is not a day goes by when i’m
Not distracted by one. Usually, i notice them more when relaxing or in bed. I have no weakness at all, can do all activities and don’t notice any muscle wastage or balance issues. However I am aware this can be a sign of ALS which is alarming. I have not spoken to any doctors about this. I really don’t know how long this has been an issue but a few years on and off. Any advice?

Muscle twitches are very common symptom of anxiety and being over sensitised.
There's no quick fix or time limit with them.
They can just go all of sudden, they can return, they can be quite prominent or mild.
The more you focus on them or worry about them the more likely to stay around.
The best thing you can do is to go about your day as normal as possible. If they come, ackno them then carry on with what you are doing.
They will go, they are not a permanent symptom.

I had a twitchy lip the other day...

Can't recall having one in my lip before (everywhere else, including my buttocks, but not my lip)

    HA gave it a go...

    "You're having a stroke, mate"

I acknowledged the presence of the nasty little gremlin, but reminded myself of the gazillion times that my body has twitched in my 55 years living as an anxiety-ridden lunatic...

This did the trick.. I distracted myself (twitched until dinnertime) then it stopped.

Carnation is spot on. The more you focus on the twitch, the longer it will stick around, this is because you're adding adrenalin to the mix.. (and adrenalin can make us shake, let alone twitch)
