Hi haven’t posted in a while now another problem has reared its ugly head for the last couple of months have had a bit of spotting after intercourse I’ve been tryingto reason with myself but I know I will have to see a doctor and this is terrifying me I’ve not seen a doctor this year as the anxiety is so bad terrified this is the one that will get me

I’ve had this before and no reason was found. The doctor suspected an abrasion. It stopped eventually and didn’t reoccur. I know I’d rather go through life without ever having to go to the GP for anything but that’s probably unrealistic. I’m sure you’ll be fine xx

Did you have to have any further tests? This is a big part of my anxiety having to wait for test results I even paid for a private mammogram so I could get the results on the day x

No! They told me to watch and wait. Maybe because I’d very recently had a clear smear and no other symptoms. I can remember having tiny tiny bits of blood after that but diminished rapidly which the doctor felt was indicative of a little rub or cut somewhere. I hate waiting for tests too so I totally sympathise, I avoid if I can. That said i recently had blood tests thinking I had massive inflammation and I was clear so they can be reassuring x

I’ve been in a really dreadful place and tried for a long time to do it by myself (along with NMP obviously!) Facing my fear and talking to the doctor (along with getting an abdominal exam and bloods) actually just massively helped in the end and although I’m not out of the woods with the panic yet, I’m better than I was. Just go and see what the GP says and take it slowly. You don’t have to have any tests you don’t want immediately. One step at a time x

Im having this at the moment too, clear smear 3 months ago but had some spotting after sex, light pink in colour.
Did you get a GP appointment ?

Yes she gave me some oestrogen cream she thinks it’s do with menapause but if it keeps happening she will refer me which I’m terrified about ��this works

Well I think if she thought it was really something sinister she’d have referred you straight away so please take some comfort from that (I know that can be easier said than done) x
