Hi BlueIris, I've totally understand your fears have recently been in a 2ww myself (different medical concern but same limbo period) I understand how you're feeling right now.
Keep on keeping on
Did it turn out okay?

For me, I'd say yes. My biggest fear was cancer and I don't have it. My circs were different (blood in stool) but I've also been in a similar situation in my late teens to late twenties which resulted in a hysterectomy (there was no 2ww back then).
Obviously not knowing the ins and outs (no pun intended), and knowing that both my ailments were different, I can't offer specific experience related information but I do know the crippling fear and dread and wish you weren't experiencing it because I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Keep on keeping on
Hi Blue Iris, I know how hard the waiting is but the only advice I can give (and as I count down to a mammogram on Monday this is for me too!) Try to be assured that you are being seen quickly and it is a pathway but that doesn't necessarily mean the result will be cancer. There are probably lots of other things more likely. I haven't had the particular test you are getting but I know plenty who have (including one with hereditary risk) and they were all just told to make dietary changes. That's it. I don't know your symptoms but try not to think the worst. I need to take this advice too btw but it's often easier for someone not involved to see things with a bit more clarity. You are panicking because naturally it's your body. Focus on being seen quickly and you should have a good idea on the day of what they are dealing with if anything.
Hi Blue, I don't have experience with this nor with your health care pathway, but I'll be thinking of you. If you need to jump on and chat please feel free.

Thanks all.
Still waiting on a diagnosis, but things landed up spiralling in a completely different direction last Friday when I was admitted to hospital bleeding so heavily that my haemoglobin was about a quarter of what it should have been. I had three transfusions and could possibly have had another, but staying in hospital was bad for my mental health.
Currently at home resting up in advance of a hysteroscopy on Saturday. Wish me luck?
