nasal gastro tube..i did not panic!

hi every one..i thought i must tell you that i had a gastro nasal tube inserted on monday which was left in for 24 hours I did not panic one bit ,i was nervous..who wouldnt be??The thing is ..one of my main fears is not being able to escape if i need to ,not being near a door etc..Well i had to go upstairs miles away from the main door ..into a stuffy room and have this procedure done..i told the nurse that i get panic attacks and she was lovely so that really helped so there was i lying on a bed flat on my back tube up nose down throat into tum..having water squeezed into my mouth from a syringe and not a twinge of terror!!I have to say it is all down to this site ,nic ,every one who is part of this wonderful group of people When i joined[ nearly 2 years now i think ]i was house bound by fear and was so isolated and had given up all thoughts of normality..now well as you can see by this ..i just flippin do it!So any one who reads thos who thinks [as i did!]i could NEVER do that..oh yes you can .and oh yes you will..something nicer than this i hope tho..lol!!Thanks everyone,love Paddie.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
