    Raise Awareness and funds?

Hi, as a biker and Anxiety sufferer / panic attacks I am thinking of doing a round the coast UK bike trip of approx 2000 miles over only nine days!!!!! I want to do this for 3 reasons:

    1. Raise money for UNICEF (people in need across Africa related to Long way round / down)
    2. Raise money for Marie Curie Cancer care in Liverpool
    3. Raise Awareness of Anxiety and Panic Attack for sufferers across the UK (maybe even some funds to donate to NoMorePanic)
Without going into too much detail of trip / route etc... I want some thoughts form the admin bods and members. Also ideas of raising awareness for us sufferers whether out spoken or all those who suffer in silence.

As a sufferer myself THIS IS A BIG TASK FOR ME AD WILL TAKE A LOT OF COURAGE JUST TO DECIDE TO DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. I would also need lots of support around the UK to achieve it and hopefully it would raise awareness for us and to say its OK to talk about the issues we face.

    What do you think?

    cheers

    MGBreva

    Hi there MGBreva!

Personally, I think it's a brilliant idea - and I admire anyone who purposefully challenges themselves in order to help others.

If you contact Nic though I'm sure she'd be able to give you her thoughts, advice, info etc on such an undertaking.

Wishing you all the best in your endeavours

    Hi MGBreva,

That sounds like a great idea to me and is really thoughtful. I know exactly what you mean about the courage needed to decide to do it and wish you all the very best.

    Take care,

    Mike
