She was okay until about 12 and it all started again so got her to see one of our doctors. She has being given steroids for five days and a tablet like an anthistamine to take on a night for 10 days. He was great, but bless her she has just gone to bed and her face is all swollen but she has being as good as gold. Gave me a scare though as he whole body swelled up and was covered in what seemed like a nettle rash. She is in my bed so i can keep a close eye on her thoughout the night and my doctor said if she gets worse and her breathing is affected to call an ambulance, so all i can do is see how she goes through the night.

    Thanks Elaine and Rach.

Hope you are both okay and sorry to wine on.

    Love Sal xx

Thought i was coping really well and know i have, Just checked on Sam and althoug asleep her face is really swollen and her eyes are too. wont wake her up but although not panicking i am just worried sick about her. Just taken her pjs of while she sleeps to cool her down and the rash is all over.

Will keep on the site as need to keep occupied whilst i keep an eye on her.

    Hi Sal

I've only just caught up on these posts. So sorry that Sam isn't well and I can see how worrying it much be for you. I remember having a similar allergic reaction to Codeine as a child with what sounds very similar to what Sam is experiencing now.

You are coping really well as any parent would be extremely worried when their child is ill, let alone someone with anxiety anyway.

Glad Simon phoned and helped you when it happened.

We are all here for you Sal.

    Take care.

    Hi Karen

Thanks for you reply. We have a rough night but she seems a little brighter today, so i am hoping that the steriods have kicked in. She is having Ashleigh to stay tonight as she has being stuck on her own all week.

Simon is coming down for the weekend so hopefully we will be able to get out and about and have some fun.

    Love Sal xx

    Hi Sal

Glad Sam is a little brighter today. Hopefully having Ashleigh to stay tonight will help to perk her up a bit too. It's not much fun being stuck at home feeling ill.

Hope you have a great weekend with Simon.
