    For Valentines Day

For anyone who needs the words but can't find them, maybe this will help.

    My Rose

If I could find the right words, I'd tell you how much you mean to me,
How few people there are like you in this world, this deep blue sea,
Suffering alone is so hard, yet made so easy with a woman like thee,
Each day so long, an endless struggle to survive, to live and be,

If I could do the right things, I'd bring all life's pleasures to you,
For that is the very least a man like I would want to do,
You are so precious, a sparkling gem of lilac blue,
A glowing green pasture of glittering droplets of dew,

If I could bring you happiness and pure joy beyond your wildest dreams,
I would fly to the ends of the universe to shine them to you in golden beams,
Then shower you with light in rods with ribbons in gleaming reams,
That would fill you with my love to show how much to me you mean,

If I could make and do all these things for you, I would be happy indeed,
To plant such pleasures to grow and flourish from seed,
For you are such a flower, a wondrous rose in a garden of weeds,
That should be loved and cherished for all eternity.

    Re: For Valentines Day

I'm afraid to say I Am very sensitive and yes SJ I Do care Very Very much.......probably too much for my own good though!

Some of these maybe in the poetry section but I thought I'd copy some here in case you'd like them. I have a Load of others but not got round to typing them on here yet.

    Anyway, see what you think.

    Compassion

Compassion; a word that means so much yet used so little,
Why has it left the world and abandoned those who feel ill?
Where is the understanding; basic rules that we have lost?
Do we carry too much hurt to help those who need it most?

Should we turn our back and ignore others,
And not try to listen with sensitivity to their troubles?
When we need help, where is it to be found
And when we find it; do they really understand?

And what will this world, the people be like?
The years ahead, will they be bright?
Should people not show they care?
For expressing concern has become too rare?
But while there is hope, I believe not all is lost,
And to show compassion is still a worthy cost!

    A beautiful rose in need

A beautiful rose swaying in the warm breeze,
Her petals glisten surrounded by hovering honeybees,
Attracted to her lure, by her sweet scented pollen so pure,
Blown on the summers air, from a pristine rose so rare,

Protected by her thorns, she stands alone safe from harm,
Yet wanting to be held and loved, she still emits her charm,
Afraid of being picked, to be left and discarded,
Her army of comforting bees ensure she is guarded,

Standing in solitude in her garden of high fences,
With the hot sun bearing down creating duress,
Waiting for relief from a cloudburst of rain,
To freshen her glossy leaves to ease her pain,

This attractive rose so trapped and in need,
That should be loved and cherished so that she may be free,
For all her many virtues and glowing sincerity,
No rose deserves more for her kindness and empathy.

    A Special Rose

In my rose garden of rare and special blooms,
I would plant you and circulate your scent throughout my rooms,
I would never idolise you but forever admire you,
For your empathy, attractiveness and golden hue,

Every petal of your being representing all your many wonders,
Shining brilliantly in the sunlight emanating a prism of beautiful colours,
Enhancing the numerous blooms with your special beauty,
Exuding your love and kindness with unadulterated simplicity,

An exquisite creation of so many yet so few,
Sprinkled in the morning with sincere droplets of dew,
Pristine and perfect protected by angel honeybees,
Exuberantly shielding, her happiness fills them with glee,

One angelic rose bringing warmth to this garden,
A joy to tend, held with fondness and appreciation,
Illuminating all those who approach her,
Treating all not merely as a number,

Distributing glowing compassion through all her glossy leaves,
Her scent of sensitivity wafting on the warm summer breeze,
Softly swaying, her petals gently flutter,
She radiates her kind-heartedness loving all as sisters and brothers.

    My friend

When I’m down and feeling blue,
I’ll shut my eyes and think of you,
The thought of you makes me smile,
Helping me to face my daily trials,

One image of your heavenly angelic face,
Soothes all my worries and concerns to leave no trace,
To imagine the touch of your delicate fingertips,
To imagine the shape and texture of your soft shining lips,
Lifts me out from my bottomless empty dark pits,

Knowing you are safe and well,
Life is reassuring, comforting and swell,
Every word that is written with a story to tell,
Brings relief from my daily thoughts of a living hell,

If it were not for you,
    I truly wouldn’t have a clue!
How to live, how to survive,
How to cope each day and stay alive!

    You are my special sunray,
Your memos bring cheer to every day,
What would I do if you ever went away?
I hope forever, my friend, you will always stay.

    A CRY FOR HELP
    Pure crystal white snow,
Falling, floating toward the blanketed frozen ground below,
Trudging, crunching footsteps each deeper than the last,
    Through the snow so vast,
Mist hugging the hills, gloomy and grey,
Skeleton outlined trees, surrounding on my way,

    Eerie silence, the gathering gloom,
Alone, so quiet, the ominous feeling of doom,
No one in sight, not even the songs of birds,
This world to myself, the mere thought absurd,

One false step, the ice beneath me breaks,
Splitting, splintering, a frightening sound it makes,
The water cold, so cold, it freezes to my core,
Gasping for air where none exists,
Lungs filling up feeling so full and raw,
Arms, legs flailing trying so hard to resist,
The last breath extinguished, suspended in animation,
No life left for any last sensation,

I awake from my nightmare, I breathe once again,
Eyes wide open filled with tears of rain,
Trapped in this house, no hope of being freed,
Where is the help, when I feel so in need.

    Living in a lonely world

A budding rose tentatively opens in a cold world,
Unsure in the environment if it’s safe to unfurl,
A buzzing honeybee hovers hurriedly by,
Nervously looking for a place to hide,

Flitting birds anxiously flock across the sky,
Eyes constantly scanning the ground as they fly,
A troubled hedgehog scampers across the lawn,
Attempting to find the comfort received when born,

Horses neigh as they uneasily graze,
Galloping around agitated as if afraid,
A mouse with whiskers tensely twitching,
Hiding from the cat that coldly stares whilst sitting,

In a hostile world where we live in fear,
With rivers streaming to lakes of tears,
People cocooned in the safety of their shells,
Avoiding the daily torments of the outside hell,

All hoping to find a comfort they seek,
When all around is dark and bleak,
Surrounded by silence in a lonely bed,
Tortured anxious thoughts within their head,

    Trapped by feelings of frailty,
In a world covered with fields of beauty,
So desperately craving support by their side,
Vulnerable and alone whilst creatures hurry by,
Needing love, a simple hug, yet so elusive to find!

    Fly

Fly, fly, fly across the deep blue sky,
Floating on the breeze, a balloon on high,
Gazing upon the wondrous lands as I sail by,
Observing people as they sunbathe at the seaside,

Across the deep wide endless sea,
To lands with forests of thick tall trees,
Gliding on to exciting exotic places where enormous mountains stand free,
To where lay hidden, deep green valleys will be,

Blown on south by stormy gales,
Above the yachts sailing with their white sails,
Across the farmland and their lonely straw bales,
Over the trains speeding upon the rails,

Fly, fly, fly free as the bird flying high,
Across the deep void of blue sky,
Free as the wind blowing me by,
Why, oh why then, can’t I?

    My Angel

    Seen in the gathering gloom,
Her wings alight in a brilliant white,
Oh, what a sight to behold,
This beautiful angel; this wondrous sight,

Never knowing when she is near,
Seen only through a forgotten tear,
Day or night you will see her clear,
For when in need, she will always appear,

With her comforting wings, surrounding and secure,
She takes you in with her soft warm lure,
With a smile of kindness and with the light in her eyes,
The heavy gloom lifts to reveal bright blue skies,

This angel of wonder in whose company I am meek,
Forever helping to find the security I seek,
Never leave me my dear angel of mine,
Help me through life, an often difficult climb,

I beg you dear angel, show me through your love,
Please help me through times when they are so rough,
My pure white angel, so warm and soft,
Help me to find the laughs I have lost.

    Being there

To be there in your highs and lows,
When you feel so ill that time goes slow,
To love and comfort, to dry your tears,
When all around fills you with fears,

To tend and care when you feel so alone,
Providing a listening ear to all your moans,
To be there when needed, to catch you when you fall,
Providing support each time you call,

To be your loyal friend for life,
When just living means daily strife,
To hold your hand, to lend a shoulder to cry on,
When the future appears bleak and all hope feels gone,

To always be there to help you live,
This much I promise I’ll always give,
To be that light when all seems black,
When you feel so lost, I’ll shine the way back
