i have my first appointment with a psychologist for tomorrow. What can i expect?

Ni KGlynn420, I see a psychologist and I think they are similar to counselors but with more years of training. Mine is very good and consults with my GP regarding my progress. Good luck, you will be fine.

Your first session will be a "getting to know each other" time. The more you can develop a good understanding and relationship, the more benefit you will get from each session.

i went to my appointment, had to bring my boyfriend though cause i panic driving alone. We talked and she got to understand me. She told me i should take the zoloft my GP prescribed me 4 months ago. I took it for three days and felt completely exhausted and spent hours on the toilet so i have decided to not take them. Hopefully with the support from family and friends and challenging myself will help me get through this without drugs. I have another appointment with the psych tomorrow hopefully she understands me for not taking the pills. 2 years ago i was very outgoing, had tons of friends, and was out at nightclubs and bars once a week. now i am scared to go to the damn gas station up the street. I will be that fun person i was and enjoy going out. This site really helps me.
