Hello!

I got involved with a girl recently and we soon jumped to sexual activity. We had intercourse (penetration) with a condom, and unprotected oral sex where I was the receiving party.

A couple of days ago she told me that her ex boyfriend was a drug addict with hepatitis C. She also told me that before we got together, she once had unprotected sex with a stranger.

We're getting her tested for STDs any day now. I'm really worried about this, and I feel dumb for trusting her like that. I've never had a sexual partner before her. I'm mostly worried about HIV and Hepatitis C, since as I understand it those are the most dangerous ones.

Any advice or information is appreciated.

OK - so the good thing here is that you used a condom, therefor your risk of HIV/Hepatitis is basically very low.

Are you being tested as well?

As long as you used condoms you should be fine. Please don't worry to much. Its a good thing to get tested regularly anyway.

Like I mentioned, we didn't use a condom during the oral sex.

I'm not getting tested if her tests are clear, since I haven't been with anyone else.

OK but the risks are so so minimal with oral sex hunny, they really are.

And perhaps you should get tested for your own piece of mind as wel - not saying there is anything, and like you said you have not done anything before.

When did this take place?

Are you and this girl planning on staying together?

The only way it could happen is if your partner is a) a carrier and b) had blood in her mouth (her gums bleeding). Even then, the chances are miniscule. You're more likely to win the lottery.

I wouldnt worry. unless the condom split you have no worries at all about HIV. even if it did split at all which dosnt happen alot you still dont have much of a chance of getting infected. try not to worry

Her tests were all clear so I should put this worry behind, but somehow I still manage to worry about it.
