I'm new and need advice on Benzo's

Hi,
I just joined this forum. I have been taking Klonopin for the past 19 years, .5K x 4 times a day. For some reason, the Klonopin stopped working last year. I tried to up the dosage, the doc's put me on Atavan as well as Xanax, and nothing helped the anxiety or panicky feelings.

I feel as though I'm in withdrawl, but not sure if this can happen while I'm still on the same doseage of Klonopin. Could this be some kind of tolerance withdrawl? I have anxiety all of the time now. I suppose I never learned coping skills to deal with the anxiety.

My doctor started me on Lexapro which is supposed to help with anxiety as well as depression. I hate being on more med's. I wish I could be med free and calm. I'm worried about coming off of the Klonopin because of horror stories that I've read Benzo boards concerning getting off of Benzo's and Klonopin in particular.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Joy And Welcome Im On Klonopin 2mgs 4x A Day As Needed Which Is Barely Ever......but I Was On Valium For 14 Yrs To Klonopin Had No Withdrawels.where You Are On Ativan And Xanex....i Dont See You Withdrawing Since Its Another Benzo.....like You Said Recovering From This Is Behavorial....tools Ect.....its Help Me Wonders......the Kolonpin Is To Take The Edge Off Hopin To Get Off When I Can.......i Wish Ya Well...........linda
