HI Need Answers For Reasurance

Hi all...
Sometimes...its not that i am scared to go out, its just that when i do go out away from my house, i feel a large amount of anxiety building. i have not been able to take my wife to dinner or the movie for the past six months. im not scared about going out rather i am nervous about having a PA wich makes me have one. i am always worried about my breathing or any little thing that is wrong with me. I feel comforitable at home. no where else. not even my sisters. i just feel keyed up like i am waiting for a pa. so is it anxiety or do i have a touch of agrphb.

Hi Patton,

Mr Anxiety loves to play mind games with us.
Having anxiety attacks is scary and our bodies have great self-defence mechanisms.
We start to identify going out as anxiety inducing and this leads us to restrict our movements in order to prevent further attacks.
Until we break out of this cycle of behaviour,nothing will change for us.
Getting out and facing our fears can be very,very difficult but it is only throug challenging them that we can overcome this condition.
The more we challenge our fears and face them down,the more strength we develop to cope.Building up a reservoir of positive coping helps us recover.
One day at a time is enough of a target to set yourself at the beginning.
Keep believing in yourself.
