Hi there, I am on the slow release type, 80mg a day. I found them very very useful in coping with the panic when it was at its peak though i don't think they are particularly great for my circulation - I have cold hands and feet at the best of times but I think its maybe a wee bit worse with these. Don't know if its my imagination but I feel a little bit out of breath on them sometimes too. Having said that, they really did help me when I was at my worst. I don't usually have food with them, or take them at a particular time or anything.

    Take care

Ellie, obviously Some people are super sensitive to propranolol ok? but not many, so its worth trying coz they do help with anxiety. I never felt like i was going to be physically sick, or that taking them without food was a problem, or that i had cold hands and feet. They took away the anx, and the headaches...so don't be afraid to try them ok?

    Take care

Thank you Cathy, Noonoo and everyone else.....

I've had the 2 tablets today so have at least started them. Will try and persevere with them. although i've only been given them for migraines i do feel unusually calm for me ........ cant believe its the drugs working already but given my current situation, i guess it cant be anything else.
Am trying to control all the worry thoughts about sickness...what am i like!

    Hi Ellie,
Yes they will calm you down, they are great for that, so I guess you killed two birds with one stone eh?

    Good luck,

    Wayne
