tension in throat

can anyone help me i seem to keep tightining my jaw and teeth together all the time without realising it and have effects that when i eat or drink there feels like somethings there is this due to mouth and throat tention help thinking the worst joyce

Hello Joyce,
This sounds like muscle tension which we all feel when we're stressed. The good thing is that you know when its happening so you can do something about it ! Take a deep breath in and let it out really slow - this will help to release the muscles. Step up general relaxation exercises as this will ease the problem.

i get a very sore tongue and jaw thriu tension.

some things i have tried:

drink plenty of water

chew gum or suck sweets to keep saliva flow

use a mouthguard at night to prevent clenching or grinding teeth

relaxation time set aside each day
